Shanklin Chine
A chine is a local word for a stream cutting back into a soft cliff. Shanklin Chine is a wooded coastal ravine that contains waterfalls, trees and lush vegetation, with footpaths and walkways allowing paid access for visitors, and a heritage centre explaining its history.
Shanklin Chine is loved for its unique tranquility and beauty and is the Isle of Wights oldest tourist attraction. The sheltered leafy woodland, with its steep sides is a magical place with rare plants, abundant wildlife, enchanting waterfalls and is loved by poets, artists and writers.
Needles Park

Needles Park at Alum Bay is a great fun day out for all the family. The Needles Park offers a range of attractions including the spectacular chairlift to the beach to see the Needles Rocks and lighthouse and the world famous coloured sand cliffs.
At Alum Bay Glass visitors can watch the art of glass blowing where craftsman make a variety of items. At the Isle of Wight Sweet Manufactory you can watch sweets being made. There are a handful of children’s rides including a traditional Carousel, Tea Cup ride, Victorian Swing Boats, a car track with vintage Cars, a 9 hole dinosaur themed adventure golf and a games kiosk.
Every Thursday in August the Park stays open late for ‘Magic in the Skies’, a spectacular firework finale to end the day. Please check times etc before setting off.
Seaview Wildlife Encounter

Seaview Wildlife Encounter offers close-up animal encounters for all Park visitors. This attraction won the Gold award for Tourism South East, winning ‘Best visitor experience in South East England’. Seaview Wildlife Encounter is set in beautiful, open, natural parklands with magnificent views across the Solent waters and is filled to the brim with unbelievably tame feathered and furry friends! Offering excellent value for money, this is a magical day out for all the family, packed full of fun, interactive animal experiences and Keeper presentations.
Isle of Wight Steam Railway

Isle of Wight Steam Railway – The railway passes through 5 miles of unspoiled countryside from Smallbrook Junction to Wootton station, passing through the small village of Havenstreet, where the line has a station, headquarters and a depot. At Smallbrook Junction, the steam railway connects with the Island Line.
Amazon World – Arreton

Amazon World – has approximately 200 different types of unusual, rare and exotic animals. The driving force at the Zoo is conservation and they have extensive breeding programs and try to educate the public and collaborate with other organisations on research. Each day they provide talks and displays to help you understand more about the animals and the keepers are available to answer any questions you may have.
Isle of Wight Zoo

Isle of Wight Zoo The Zoo is a small family-run zoo with a special interest in tigers and lemurs and is one of the most popular things to do in the Isle of Wight. The zoo was built within the ruins of a Victorian Fort built to guard Sandown’s coast.
Waltzing Waters

Waltzing waters is a small indoor water show. The show involves water fountains dancing to music and each show takes 40 minutes starting every hour on the hour.
Cowes Week

Cowes Week will bring the worlds biggest sailing stars to the Isle of Wight. There will be over 1,000 yachts and 8,000 competitors taking part in some top-class sailing with amazing excitement for competitors and spectators alike.
