Thorpe Park

Go from 0 to 80 mph in under 2 seconds, survive a death defying vertical drop, spin through 10 loops… and that’s just for starters! With over 30 nuts rides, Thorpe Park is the place to go!

Thorpe Park in Surrey is widely considered the UK’s premier destination for thrill-seekers, offering over 25 high-adrenaline rides, including the UK’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, Hyperia. It is fantastic for teenagers and adults looking for intense thrills, such as Stealth and Nemesis Inferno, making it arguably the best thrill park in the UK.

Top Thrill Rides: The park is famous for its “Big 6” rollercoaster lineup, featuring Hyperia (80+ mph), Stealth (0-80 mph in <2 seconds), The Swarm, SAW – The Ride, Nemesis Inferno, and Colossus.

Best Time to Visit: It is a high-energy park that is fantastic for summer visits due to its, large number of water rides like Tidal Wave and Depth Charge.

Primarily aimed at older kids, teenagers, and adults rather than young families.
Accessibility: Situated in Chertsey, Surrey, it is conveniently located just 20 miles from central London.
It has a very intense, modern vibe. As one of the top visited parks, it can get very busy, so utilising the app or getting fast passes is often recommended for the best experience. While better options like Legoland exist for younger children, there are still some “little thrills” areas.

Overall, if you are looking for the most thrilling roller coasters and an adrenaline-packed day, Thorpe Park is considered top-tier.
