We The Curious is a hands-on science and arts centre located on Bristol’s Harbourside. It is a space designed to encourage curiosity through more than 200 interactive exhibits across two floors.
What to Do and See
Interactive Exhibits: You can explore themes ranging from “bubbles to brains” and “rainbows to robots”. Popular activities include walking through a tornado, turning yourself invisible, and climbing inside a giant bubble.
The Planetarium: It houses the UK’s only 3D Planetarium, offering presenter-led shows for all ages, from 2D space adventures for toddlers to immersive 3D stargazing for adults.
Project What If: This major ground-floor exhibition is inspired by real questions asked by the public, exploring time, space, and even human happiness.
Creative Spaces: Visit the North Gallery to plant seeds or experiment with food and flight, or head upstairs to create your own animations with Aardman characters like Morph.
Live Science: A dedicated team leads daily workshops, experiments, and talks that are included with your day ticket.

Planning Your Visit
Duration: Most people spend between 3 and 4 hours exploring. Your ticket allows you to come and go as you please throughout the day.
Who Should Go: It is suitable for all ages, though it is most popular with families and children aged 5 and up.
For Little Ones: Dedicated areas like the “Build-It” construction zone and sensory “Play Fridays”.
For Adults: Regular “After Hours” evenings feature games and shows specifically for a grown-up audience.
When to Go: The centre is open Tuesday to Sunday (10 am–5 pm) during term time and daily during school holidays.
Tip: Visit on weekdays or outside of school holidays to avoid the busiest “hectic” periods.

What Makes it Unique
We The Curious was the first attraction of its kind to declare a climate emergency in 2019. Its building features environmentally friendly technology like a phase-change tank and air-source heat pumps. It stands out by blending hard science with creative arts and community-led questioning.
