Torre Abbey

Torre Abbey is the most historic building in Torquay, a scheduled ancient monument originally founded in 1196 as a monastery for Premonstratensian monks. Today, it serves as a multi-award-winning museum, art gallery, and cultural hub owned by Torbay Council.

Where it is: Situated on the Torquay Seafront, set within 18 acres of beautiful garden and parkland. It is a 10-minute drive from most areas of Torquay and about 50 minutes from Exeter.
Nearby Landmarks: It is located just behind Torre Abbey Sands beach and is a key site along the Agatha Christie Mile.
