Go Ape – Alice Holt Woodland Park

Go Ape is a network of rope bridges, trapezes, tunnels and zip wires that stretches for roughly a mile through the tree canopy. This is a fantastic experience where you will be trained in the use of harnesses, pulleys, carabineers and various safety methods by qualified instructors. You will then safely navigate through a tree top obstacle course to eventually finish on a brilliant zip-wire descent.

Go Ape Alice Holt, located just south of Farnham, Surrey, is a premier woodland adventure park that caters to all ages through high ropes courses, massive bouncy nets, and forest biking.

What You Can Do There
Treetop Challenge: The ultimate 2–3 hour high ropes experience featuring 41 crossings, Tarzan swings, and an epic 126-metre zip line.
Treetop Adventure & Plus: 60-minute courses for younger or novice climbers. The “Plus” version adds higher platforms and longer zips.
Nets Adventure: A giant treetop playground 30 feet up, featuring suspended trampolines, inflatable balls, and tunnel slides.
Forest Biking: High-quality bike hire with access to scenic woodland trails suitable for all abilities.
Sundown Adventures: Seasonal evening sessions where you tackle the courses after dark under colourful lights.

Why Choose Alice Holt Over Other Locations?
All-Age Inclusivity: While many sites focus on older kids, Alice Holt is exceptionally inclusive for very young children. The Nets Adventure is open to children as young as 1 year old (who can walk unaided), making it a rare choice for toddlers.
Royal Woodland Setting: Set within the South Downs, the forest offers unique “royal” views of Scots pines and ancient meadows not found at more urban sites.
Multi-Activity Value: Beyond the ropes, the park features extensive non-Go Ape activities like the Gruffalo Activity Trail, a giant marble run, and wooden animal play structures.

Who It Is For
Mini Explorers (1+): Can enjoy the Nets Adventure.
Young Kids (1m+ tall): Ideal for Treetop Adventure (approx. ages 4–10).
Thrill Seekers (1.4m+ tall): Adults and older children (10+) can take on the Treetop Challenge.
Spectators: Most courses are in open woodland with viewing trails, so friends can follow along for free from the ground.
