Bubbles’ World of Play is located at Marine Point in New Brighton, Wirral (Merseyside). It is a massive indoor soft play centre that is genuinely impressive in scale, though it is very much targeted at the 0 to 11 age group.
The “hook” here is the world-travel theme. Instead of just standard plastic slides, the different zones represent different countries. Kids can run through a New York-themed area, explore the Taj Mahal, or navigate a large pirate ship. It is an active, “hands-on” experience where children burn off energy while parents generally get a bit of a breather from the seating area.
Age Groups and Interest
Toddlers & Babies: There are dedicated gated areas for the tiny ones so they don’t get trampled by the older kids.
Primary Schoolers: This is the “sweet spot.” They will likely find it exciting for a good couple of hours.
Teenagers: They will be bored almost instantly. This isn’t for them, and they are generally too big for the equipment anyway.
Adults: It’s a “supervise from the side” situation. You’ll be there for the kids, not your own entertainment, though there is plenty of seating and a café to keep you occupied.
Practicalities for the Visit
Duration: Most families spend about 2 hours here.
Supervision: While the areas are contained, younger children definitely need a watchful eye as it can get very busy and loud, especially on weekends. It’s more “hands-off” than a park, but you can’t completely switch off.
Discounts: They often offer reduced rates for pre-schoolers during term-time mornings. It is also worth checking for Blue Light Card discounts or Twin/Multi-child rates if you have a larger group.
Annual Passes: If you live locally in the Wirral, the membership is definitely worth looking into, as it pays for itself very quickly after a few visits.
Food & Parking: There is a café on-site for snacks and coffee. Parking is free in the large Marine Point car park right outside, which is a massive plus.
Making a Day of It Since Bubbles is part of the Marine Point development, you can easily combine it with other activities to keep the older kids or adults happy.
The Light Cinema and Championship Adventure Golf (an outdoor mini-golf course) are right next door.
New Brighton Promenade is perfect for a walk or scoot by the sea.
The Floral Pavilion Theatre is just a short walk away for shows.
Dining: There are loads of family-friendly restaurants like Prezzo, Loungers, and various local fish and chip shops within two minutes of the entrance.
