South Devon Railway (Heritage Steam)

What it is: A multi-award-winning heritage steam railway running along a former Great Western Railway branch line from 1872.
Location: Runs between Buckfastleigh (main station with free parking) and Totnes Riverside, with a stop at the historic Staverton station.

What to see/do:
Enjoy a 14-mile round trip hugging the River Dart through glorious, wildlife-rich countryside.
At Buckfastleigh, visit the museum, workshop, gardens, and the adjacent Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies sanctuary.
At Totnes, visit the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm right next to the station.
