Telford Ice Rink

Telford Ice Rink is a massive, lively hub for skating located right in the heart of Telford Town Centre (Shropshire). It’s a proper regional attraction rather than a basic community rink, sitting right next to the Southwater development and the Town Park.

What to Expect
Whether you’re a pro or a total wobbler, the main draw is the Olympic-sized ice pad. You can join a public session, watch a high-octane Telford Tigers ice hockey match, or hit the “Disco Lights” sessions which are great for a bit of atmosphere.

Is it for You?

• Young Children: They’ll love it, especially with the “penguin” and “snowman” skating aids available to help them stay upright. It’s very hands-on, but keep in mind they’ll need close supervision as the ice can get busy.
• Teenagers: This is a prime hangout spot for them. It’s cool (literally), social, and they can be left to their own devices while you grab a coffee.
• Parents: You can either lace up and join in or watch from the side. It’s more of an “active” visit than a relaxing one, but if the kids are confident skaters, you might actually get a bit of a breather.

• Telford Town Park: A massive green space with brilliant play areas and high ropes courses if you haven’t burned enough energy on the ice.
• Telford Shopping Centre: Just a short walk over the footbridge if anyone in the group prefers retail therapy to skating.
