Bridlington Animal Park is a great shout for a family day out, especially if you’ve got little ones who love getting up close to feathered and furry friends. You’ll find it tucked away in Carnaby, just on the outskirts of Bridlington (YO15 3QW, East Yorkshire).
What’s the vibe?
It’s a really friendly, hands-on spot that’s much more personal than the massive city zoos. The park is home to everything from meerkats and raccoons to wallabies and pigs. The real stars, though, are the birds of prey and the owls. Most visitors find themselves hanging out here for about 2 to 3 hours, making it a perfect morning or afternoon activity.

Since the park takes up a few hours, you can easily turn this into a full day. You’re only a five-minute drive from the main Bridlington seafront for some beach time or penny arcades. If you’re still feeling energetic, John Bull World of Rock is just down the road—you can see how seaside rock is made and even make your own chocolate lollies.
