Fantasy Farm Park

Fantasy Farm Park is a good choice when the children want something more energetic than another walk or historic attraction.

This family-run farm park near Llanrhystud combines animals, play areas, inflatables and extra activities, so there is plenty to keep younger visitors occupied for a few hours.

Meet the Animals

The farm animals are one of the nicest parts of the visit, especially for younger children.

Depending on the season, you may see sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens and other animals around the farm.

Animal feed is available to buy, so children can get much more involved than simply looking through a fence.

Good for families: This is a relaxed, family-run attraction rather than a huge theme park, which is part of its appeal.

Let the Children Burn Off Some Energy

There are both indoor and outdoor play areas, which is useful when the weather cannot quite decide what it is doing.

Inflatables and play equipment give children plenty of space to run around, climb and bounce between visits to the animals.

That mix of indoor and outdoor activity makes the park particularly useful for families with younger children.

Try the Extra Activities

There are additional activities available around the park, including go-karts, a rodeo ride and coin-operated tractors.

These are charged separately from the main admission, so it is worth knowing before promising the children they can do everything they see.

The go-karts are likely to be particularly popular with older children who have outgrown some of the smaller play equipment.

Stop for Something to Eat

The café serves homemade food, drinks and cakes, so there is no need to leave the park when everyone gets hungry.

Sunday carvery is also a regular feature and can become busy enough that advance booking is recommended.

If you are planning to stay for several hours, having food available on site makes the day much easier with children.

Good for a Relaxed Family Day

Fantasy Farm Park is not trying to compete with a giant commercial theme park, and that is probably why many families like it.

You can move between the animals, play areas and activities without spending the whole day queuing or walking enormous distances.

It is particularly well suited to younger children, although older brothers and sisters still have things such as the go-karts and other activities to keep them interested.

A Few Useful Tips

Fantasy Farm Park is at Llanrhystud, near Aberystwyth, Ceredigion SY23 5DA.

During the main 2026 season it is normally open Wednesday to Sunday during term time and daily during the main school holidays. Opening arrangements change through the year, so check before travelling.

Children aged one and under currently enter free, with separate adult, child and senior admission rates.

Some extras such as go-karts, the rodeo ride and coin-operated tractors are not included in the admission price.

Animal feed can be purchased at reception if the children want to feed the animals.

The café and shop operate during the park’s main opening hours, and Sunday carvery booking is recommended because it can fill quickly.

For most families, allow around three or four hours rather than planning an entire day unless the children are particularly keen on the play areas.
