The Belvoir Brewery is tucked away in Old Dalby, Leicestershire. It’s a great little stop for anyone who appreciates the craft of a good pint, but it’s definitely more of a “grown-up” outing than a family theme park.
What’s the vibe?
This is an authentic, working brewery. The tour itself is a classic “behind the scenes” experience where you get to see the copper tuns, smell the hops, and learn how they turn raw ingredients into their award-winning ales like Blueberry Stout or Whipling. It’s interesting rather than high-octane entertainment, appealing mostly to adults and real ale enthusiasts.

Planning Your Visit
Making a Day of It
Since the brewery visit only takes up a chunk of the afternoon, you can easily pair it with a trip to the nearby Melton Mowbray (the home of the pork pie) which is just a short drive away. If you fancy a bit of fresh air afterward, the Belvoir Escarpment offers some lovely walking routes with views over the vale.
It’s a solid choice if you want to learn something new and enjoy a drink, but if you’re looking for a place to let the kids run wild while you relax, this probably isn’t the one!
