Cairngorm Reindeer Centre

• Parking: There is a public car park right outside the centre in Glenmore, which requires a small payment. It gets very busy in the summer, so giving yourself extra time to park is smart.
• Food & Drink: The centre itself does not serve food, but there is a lovely traditional café just across the road serving hot drinks and hearty soups.
• Clothing: You are heading up a real Scottish mountain! Even in mid-summer, it can be chilly and wet, so walking boots and a good waterproof jacket are absolutely essential for the hill trip.
• Savings: Booking online in advance is essential for the Hill Trip as spaces are strictly limited to protect the herd.
• Season: The centre is open from early spring right through to early January. The reindeer love the winter weather, making December a wonderfully popular time to visit.

It is also located right on the mountain road leading up to the Cairngorm Mountain Funicular Railway & Ski Centre, making it the perfect stop on your way up or down the slopes. Afterwards, you can pop into Aviemore for a relaxing journey on the steam-powered Strathspey Railway.
