The Portsmouth Pyramids Centre, located on the Southsea seafront in Portsmouth, has transitioned significantly in recent years. It is important to note that the leisure water, flumes, and wave pool are PERMANENTLY CLOSED. The swimming facilities closed in 2021 to make way for a major redevelopment of the site.
Today, the centre has been transformed into a modern health and fitness hub and a large-scale indoor soft play adventure.

What to Experience
The main draw for visitors now is Explorers Play, one of the largest indoor soft play centres in the region. It is designed with a seaside adventure theme where children can burn off energy on slides, climbing frames, and various interactive obstacles.
For adults, the centre houses a massive gym and fitness suite with state-of-the-art equipment overlooking the Solent, along with dedicated studios for classes.

Best Time to Visit
To avoid the crowds and high energy of children’s parties, aim for weekday mornings during school term time. For those seeking a lively atmosphere, weekend mornings are the peak. As the attraction is entirely indoors, it is a perfect “rainy day” backup when the Southsea weather isn’t cooperating.
