Topgolf Glasgow

Located in Rutherglen, just off the M74 motorway, this is a massive, high-tech version of a driving range that feels more like a bowling alley for golf. You can find it at 10-12 Birkenshaw Road with the postcode G73 1FP.

What to Expect and Enjoy
Even if you have never picked up a golf club in your life, you will likely find this entertaining. It is designed so that anyone can play and score points.

  • The Bays: You sit in a private, climate-controlled “bay” (it has heaters for winter!) with your group. You hit microchipped golf balls at giant, glowing targets in the ground.
  • The Games: A screen in your bay tracks your ball and tells you exactly where it landed, awarding points based on accuracy and distance. It feels much more like a video game than a sport.
  • The Atmosphere: It is very lively with music playing and big screens showing sports. At night, the whole range lights up in different colours, which looks fantastic.

Best For and Time Spent
This is a huge hit for groups of friends, teenagers, and families with older children. It’s also a very popular spot for couples on a date night.

  • Duration: Most groups book a bay for 1.5 to 2 hours. If you stay for food afterwards, you’ll be there for about 3 hours.

Helpful Tips for Your Visit

  • Parking: There is a large free car park on-site.
  • Food & Drink: This is a big part of the experience. They serve “American-style” food like wings, sliders, and nachos directly to your bay while you play. It is high quality but can be expensive, especially for a large group.
  • Savings: Mid-week mornings are usually much cheaper than weekend evenings. They often have Half-Price Tuesday deals which are excellent value.
  • Season: It is open all year round and is great for rainy days because the bays are undercover and heated.
