Perched on the cliffs with a stunning view of the bay, this aquarium has a very charming and intimate feel. It’s not just about fish—there are some surprising residents here too. You’ll find it at The Scores, St Andrews, Fife (Postcode: KY16 9AS).

What to Expect and Enjoy
While smaller than Deep Sea World, it packs a lot of variety into its space and feels very accessible for little ones.

Meerkats and Penguins: These are often the crowd favourites. The meerkats are always busy digging and keeping watch, while the Humboldt penguins have a great outdoor pool.
The Reptile Room: You can see crocodiles, poison dart frogs, and snakes. It’s well-lit and very educational.
Seals: They have a lovely seal pool overlooking the sea. Watching them being fed with the backdrop of the St Andrews coast is really special.
The View: Even the walk to the aquarium is great, as you follow the cliff-top path with amazing views over the West Sands beach.

Ideal for families with younger children, couples on a day trip, or anyone who wants a break from the history of the town.

Duration: You’ll likely spend about 1 to 1.5 hours here. It’s a perfect “add-on” to a day spent exploring the rest of St Andrews.

Helpful Tips for Your Visit

Parking: Being in St Andrews, parking right outside can be tricky. There is some “pay and display” parking on The Scores, but you might find it easier to park in one of the larger town car parks and walk over.
Feeding Times: Check the board as you walk in. The staff are very friendly and the feeding talks for the seals and meerkats are definitely worth catching.
The Café: They have a café with one of the best views in town, looking right out over the sea.
