Tannaghmore Animal Farm – Craigavon

County: County Armagh
Postcode: BT67 0UN
Best for: Families with young children, budget-friendly days out, outdoor play
Average visit time: Around 2 to 3 hours

Tannaghmore Animal Farm is a great option if you are looking for a simple, low-cost day out with younger children. It combines a small animal farm with one of the best outdoor play parks in the area, which makes it feel like more than just a quick visit.

The farm itself has a variety of animals including goats, sheep, pigs, ponies and smaller animals that children can get quite close to. It is not a large commercial attraction, but it is well kept and very child-friendly. Younger visitors tend to enjoy seeing the animals up close without it feeling crowded.

Right next to the farm is a large adventure playground, and for many families this becomes the main attraction. There are climbing frames, swings, slides and plenty of space for children to run around and burn off energy. It is a good mix of farm visit and active play.

The surrounding parkland adds to the experience, with open green space and woodland areas that are nice for a short walk. It gives the whole place a relaxed, outdoor feel.

This is best suited to families with younger children. Older kids and teenagers may not find enough to keep them entertained for long, but for toddlers and primary school ages it works really well.

There are picnic areas, so bringing your own food is a good option. Craigavon nearby has cafés, shops and other facilities if you want to extend your visit.

Good to know: This is mainly an outdoor attraction, so it is best enjoyed in dry weather. Children should be supervised around animals and in the play areas. Parking is generally straightforward, and the overall cost is usually very reasonable compared to larger attractions.
