Streamvale Farm is one of those places that’s ideal if you’ve got younger children and want a relaxed, hands-on day out. It’s a working farm that’s been set up really well for visitors, so it feels friendly and easy rather than overwhelming.
The main draw is the animals. Children can meet goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and more, and there are often chances to feed or get quite close to them. It’s the kind of place where kids can take their time, wander around and enjoy simple things without being rushed.

There’s also a good mix of outdoor play areas, ride-on toys and space to run about, which helps break up the visit so it’s not just about looking at animals. Seasonal events are a big part of what they do here as well. Around Easter, Halloween and Christmas, the farm is usually themed with extra activities, which can make it feel like a completely different experience each time you visit.
It’s mostly outdoors, so it’s best on a dry day, although there are some covered areas. Bring suitable footwear if it’s been wet as it can get muddy in places.
There’s a café on site for drinks and simple food. It’s convenient, but like most attractions, prices can be a bit higher than you’d expect, so some people prefer to keep it light or bring snacks.

Good to know: This is very much aimed at younger children. Older kids and teenagers may enjoy it briefly, but it’s not really designed for them. Children should be supervised, especially around animals.
Nearby ideas: It’s only a short drive from Belfast, so it works well combined with a city visit or something indoors like W5 if the weather turns.
