Scotland’s Nuclear Bunker

Scotland had a Nuclear bunker that was kept secret for over 40 years. The bunker was capable of sleeping 300 people in 6 dormitories. The bunker is the size of two football pitches, one on top of another, 100 foot underground. The tunnel entrance was hidden beneath an innocent looking Scottish farmhouse.

Today, the bunker is open for viewing. Visitors can now walk down the 150m entrance tunnel and through the hermetically sealed 3 ton blast proof doors to explore the living quarters that contained a BBC studio, Chapel and 'hot bed' dormitories.
